  • now every time I restart the CUDA is not recognized

Posted by Andrew Sableton on February 22, 2012 at 5:56 pm

Whenever I restart my computer the CUDA is not working again. I need to reinstall every time I restart – then it works fine.

I have installed it both from the ADMIN user account and my usual working account and it makes no difference.

    Any suggestions…..?

    🙁

Never mind, got it working. For some reason the /System/Library/StartupItems folder was not owned by the root account so the CUDA.kext driver was not loading at startup. “sudo chown root:wheel /System/Library/StartupItems” fixed it.

Thanks for taking the time to post your solution. I’m mostly on Windows, but whenever I’m on Mac OS X I seem to have some kind of trouble with CUDA, so it’s good to have another thing to try.

I’m having the same issue and have scoured the internet until now. I’m a bit of a newbie on how to operate your fix. Could you PRETTY PLEASE break it down for me? I would humbly appreciate any help.

YOU’RE THE BEST! I was searching forever for this solution and you got it. Was about to drop kick my system into the LA River. But now I can use it. THANK YOU

Solved my issue with 9.1.5 as well.

Can someone explain how to fix this CUDA problem with kexts? I don’t know to much about editing these files. Thank You
