Notebook to replace home PC?
I’m going to buy a new computer and most likely notebook since I have to move it like once a week. It needs to handle full editing with AE/photoshop etc (no 3d modeling though).
Is it stupid to move using just notebook?
I have planned to buy one of these:
MacBook Pro:
17″ (1680×1050)
2.5GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT
4Gb ram
320Gb 7200rpm HDMacBook Pro would be around 2800$.

Sony VAIO AW:
18,4″ (1920×1080)
2.53GHz Core 2 Duo (T9400)
NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT
4Gb ram
640Gb 5400rpm HD (2 x 320 GB)VAIO would be around 2500$.
So VAIO would be 300$ cheaper and has bigger display, is more powerfull with double of HD space. Also it has Windows which I like more than OSX. So it’s my 1st choise right now.
Could I do all my work with one of these computers? Or would it feel stupid to work with notebook at home? One thing that consume me too is that you can get these notebooks only with glossy display. I’m afraid that I have to watch my own face all the time from the screen.
