Not a tech questions…but about AE artists writing CVs
Hi,
I’m at that joyful stage or currently updating my CV, and I was looking for a little insite on how other animators and filmakers go about doing this. Previously I have worked for production companies and have listed them under my work experince, however now I have been working freelance for a year, and also running a collective of digital artists , and I am wondering how to note this down. Is it a good idea to just list all the jobs that I have worked on? I have always been told to keep a CV short so that your client or employee doesn’t have to sit and look at lots of text on a page (after all, no-one really wants to do that!) But by listing jobs I find that my CV can tend to drag on.It would be great to get some ideas on how you set yours up, or even if there’s a “standard” way of doing it for this industry,althoguh I always find a little non “standard” creative input into a CV can go a long way, but of course that depends on who’s looking at it! Obviously a showreel goes in hand with the CV.
