  • Not a fan of the demonic slow audio preview in 2015.3

One of the “improvements” of 2015.3:

“When playback is slower than real-time (i.e., while the preview is being cached), audio playback now compensates by slowing the sample rate instead of stuttering.”

I actually preferred the “stuttering” version. I find the constant creepy slow voices to be distracting, and to my ear, actually a less accurate sync. I know this is a pretty superficial thing, but I can’t find an option to go back to the stuttering method of audio preview. Anyone know if there is one?

    Thanks!

I’m pretty sure you can’t go back to the old way without going back to a previous version. You can, of course, uncheck the audio icon in the Preview settings.

But then you won’t hear it at the correct speed, either.

Or check the Cache Before Playback box.
