I just started using Final Cut Pro 5 and I’m LOVING it. I’m working on ediing a sketch for my sketch comedy group and for some reason none of my audio will render anymore. I’ve tried everything I can, changing to mp3, creating a new sequence and starting clean, importing different audio, but none will work and unfortunately I’m not very computer savy. Can some one help? When I try to render the audio a little box pops up and all it says is “General Error” and that’s it, nothing else. Any ideas?

Your audio should be PCM 48k 16 bit. If it’s not, use an external program like QT Pro, ST Pro or MPEG Streamclip to convert it. Tru that with one clip and see if it helps. It’s also possible you have a corrupt clip. Also, it always helps to know your workflow – how you capture your media, where it’s stored, what hardware are you using?
