July 9, 2009 at 6:10 pmThe Generated Media Noise Textures are “generated” so… no, you can’t make your own. It only has the algorithms that are programmed in but you can get a lot out of them by tweaking the generation parameters and saving them as presets.

July 9, 2009 at 7:19 pmTo get even more possibilities, you can have two noise textures above each other on two tracks and play with the composition modes. And since both noise textures can be keyframed, the number of possiblities are countless. You can even replace the lower noise textures with your own picture or video and play with the blur settings or other fx of the lower track. In this way, you can create very easily customized backgrounds within Vegas.
