  • Noise Reduction in Vegas 10 (do we have to buy it again?)

Posted by Mynor De león on November 18, 2010 at 12:54 am

Hi there, Mynor from UFM Guatemala once again. We have just installed Vegas 10, my question is simple, we worked with the noise reduction plugin in Vegas 8 Pro, but now we have V10, that plug doesn’t show up. Do we have to buy another Noise reduction? If not, what can we make to have it on V10?

    Best regards,

If you are talking about audio noise reduction, I didn’t think that Sony Noise Reduction plug-in came with Vegas. I thought it was bundled with Sound Forge. If you have it from the past you just need to install it again. It was always a separate install. It does not, however, work with the 64-bit version of Vegas.

Thanks John, we tried what you suggested, we have reinstalled the soundforge but nothing happened. We are already working with the 64 bit version of Vegas 10

Sony Noise Reduction doesn’t work with the 64-bit version of Vegas. It’s a 32-bit plug-in. You must use the 32-bit version of Vegas to use it.

Ohhh, ok, thanks, now I have it clear. Do you know if the Noise R. Plugin exists for the 64 version?

Sony Noise Reduction plug-in does not have a 64-bit version bit iZotope RX2 is an outstanding noise reduction plug-in that works in both 32 & 64-bit versions.
