when i take the image file into photoshop CS3 there is some noise in the blacks.

I am using the Canon Rebel XS and the lens is the Canon Zoom Lens EF-S 55-250 mm image stabilizer.

Is there something I can do to correct the problem?

Change your ISO setting on the camera

    Get a noise reduction plug-in

    Use a flash

One or all of the above would help

If you are on the wrong ISO you will get grain

you may be at right exposure for the settings you have… but turn do ISO to 200-400
