No video preview
I’m new to Vegas 9 Platinum. I have a project that we filmed many years ago that someone put onto a DVD. When I load the DVD video into Vegas, I can see the video and audio in the timeline. I can hear the audio, but there is nothing visible in the video preview window.
I’ve tried to load the DVD several different ways: with Vegas “Import DVD Camcorder Info”, with DVD Shrinkwrap and Handbrake. No matter what I do, I can see the timeline video, but not the video preview screen.
I’ve checked to be sure that video preview is checked in the view window.
I’ve loaded other video projects, and I can see the video preview screen with most of them. Some will only work in the preview if I disable the other blank video timelines and make the active video timeline “solo”.
What’s going on?
UPDATE: I loaded the *.VOB version of the project on my husband’s computer, and the video preview worked just fine. So something must be toggled incorrectly on my computer. I deleted and reinstalled Vegas and now the video preview works. Hoorah!
