no video playback in timeline
I just lost all my video playback capabilities in PP CS3. No timeline, source or monitor playback. If I pick just audio from a clip, it plays back fine but hitting the spacebar to start video with audio playback is a no-go. I’m running XP Pro with SP2 on a HP dv8000 with 2 gigs of ram. It’s been running perfect until today. Freakin me out. Help! Thanks- Lar

Sure- I’m running CS3 Production Suite on an HP dv8000 and it’s running smooth as glass. Suddenly in Premier, my run cue isn’t triggering. I can scrub and see picture and hear scrubbed audio, but my clips won’t run on the timeline. I’m using the very current version of Aspect HD from Cineform and shooting clips with a JVC HD at 720p. The clips won’t run in the source or monitor screens either. I can hovever, play the clips in both Windows Media Player and Quicktime outside of Premiere. It’s like I caught a bug! I’ve been producing finished corporate video with this system for 2 years. Can you reinstall just Premiere CS3 from the suite or do you have to do the whole thing? Maybe that’s the quickest fix. Lar

Yes, you can uninstall and reinstall individual programs in the Adobe Production Studio package, although I’d try uninstalling and reinstalling AspectHD first.

Eric- Reinstalling Aspect HD did the trick. Now it’s running great. Thanks man! Lar
