October 13, 2015 at 3:02 pmWith all due respect… that sounds like Sony is “RE-assessing” the need for a major upgrade (Vegas 14), through user input, as well as market demand. That would imply there’s no flat “No” to Vegas 14, but it also it also implies Sony is certainly thinking about it.

November 4, 2015 at 1:57 pmSony does come up with great products, but their greed gets in the way as it did with sacd, bluray etc. Both great products but the public didn’t like the costs and moved on. Now we have catalyst product line that is moving too slow to be full featured and Vegas that is not moving forward very much at all. People wont wait for sony to figure this all out and will move on. I make a living with Vegas and would hate to see it go away and catalyst is not up to the task as of yet, so the more time that Sony takes to figure this out could mean the end of BOTH product lines.

January 9, 2016 at 7:13 amVegas Pro is part of my life as a youtuber. And for that much I’m in love with this video editing software. My only request is that Vegas Pro 14 supports CUDA for higher end GPU above the GTX 500 series. Right now thats the only biggest issue most Nvidia users are having to this day, so we are stuck using CPU power to render long footage.
The software is growing on its own terms, but its years behind on CUDA support -

April 8, 2016 at 7:38 pmfrom the sony creative forum…
“…Having said that, one Facebook group poster decided to contact Sony directly and here’s their reply to him.
I questioned to Sony Creative Software support about some online stores selling Vegas Pro 14 Suite, if this was true or lie. The answer was:
– Kim N.: We do not have a Vegas Pro 14 available at this time so those are most likely inaccurate listings. Then I asked if there will be a Vegas Pro 14 or not:
– Kim N.: There is a version 14 being worked on, but there have been some unanticipated delays so it’s not available at the moment. We don’t know when it will be released but it is being worked on.

May 14, 2016 at 10:40 pmI hope they do something like buying a fixer-upper: totally gut the thing and start from scratch.
IF done right, they could create a major contender.
