    Hello
I had upgraded to premiere pro 1.5.1 but discovered 1)it does not work with Hollywood Effects and 2) my Matrox effects are not in sharp focus.I had posted about the unclear Matrox problem and even went to the Matrox websites and paid for help from Matrox..all to no avail. I installed Premiere 6.5 on my computer ( Dell Dimension -fully compatible with Matrox) and used that to create my Hollyood Effects .avi files. Then import them to Premiere Pro 1.5.1.
That worked ok for several projects. I just did not use the Matrox effects, opting instead to use motion control in Premiere.
At least I could see my work in the tv monitor.
In the middle of my present project, however, I needed to have a still image twirl. I was not sure how to do this in Premiere 1.5.1 alone.
I went into Premiere 6.5 and choose Matrox( instead of standard) but , of course, when the program opened , there was no Matrox effects to choose. I then went back to Premiere pro 1.5.1 but now I have no TV monitor capabilities. I went back into 6.5 and made sure Matrox was not selected. That did not help. I uninstalled 6.5 and still no help.
Of course I’m very dissapointed with not being able to use Matrox in 1.5.1. I am in the middle of a long project ith much time invested. Now I can’t view the work in my TV monitor.
    CAN ANY ONE HELP??
    Thanks in advance.
    Jeff

First off, give us a little more info regarding your hardware, like graphics card and the firewire chipset if you know what it is. Secondly, With Premiere Pro 1.5, did you see these problems?

The monitor problem seems confined to only this project.
I use the Dell Dimension 8400- fully compatible according to Matrox.

I might try importing that project into a new project (double check for the proper project settings) and see if the project is simply corrupt. v6.5 was good for that every now and again.
