No Title Safe
I have this checked in the canvas and they are not showing up. I also have show overlays checked. What gives?
FCP 5.0.3 G5 2gig Dual 4.5 gigs RAm.

Have you trashed your prefs? I’ve not seen anything like that happen here, but you’re obviously seeing it there. If that doesn’t work, try repairing disk permissions.

Just a silly question, but do you also have “Show Title Safe” checked? (Its a separate box from “Show Overlays”.)
Otherwise, I’d also say Trash the Prefs.
