  • No sequence preview preset file or codec…

I finished a program the other week and everything was fine. My client just asked me if I could re-export the movies with a different web compression setting but when I went to open up the file I get an error message that states “No sequence preview file or codec could be associated with this sequence type.”

I’m not sure what happened because the last time I worked on the file everything was fine. Now I can’t even open up the project.

I did notice that when I start a new project it looks like there are less options in the sequence presets than their used to be. I’m running CS6 on a Dell PC.

Is there a codec pack or anything I can download that could help with this? Has anyone run into this before? I did a search and a guy recommended trying to open up your autosave files, but those just give me the same warning. Any help is greatly appreciated.

FYI, the only codec options that appear when trying to set up a new project are:

    DV
    DVCPRO
    DV24P
    DVCPROHD
    Mobile Device

I know there were many more options when I first started the projects.
