  • No Monitoring audio in FCP 5 Batch window

Hi All – hope this is simple 🙁
Just making The Leap to Tiger FCP 5 today.
    Audio problem:
Can’t get FCP to PLAY thru the _MONITOR_ audio off Beta Deck in the BATCH window during screening. Once the A/V clip (without me being able to monitor the audio) is logged and batched, the digitized clip DOES have and PLAYS audio within FCP. In other words I hear no sound off playback Deck while screening ftg.
    I’ve checked:
-All the Decklink settings are made in various Set Up FCP settings. Seem to be correct
-In the FCP 5.01 Batch Window there is a NEW version of “Clip Settings” sub-menu that, in the audio section area has the option to “Preview”
(detailed on pg 289 of FCP User Manual No. 1)
This feature seems to be described as needing to be ACTIVE (?) to monitor audio during logging. I have digitized with this PREVIEW feature ON and OFF:
    no monitor sound either way.
    System:
FCP 5.01/G5 Tiger Dual2.0/ Decklink SP card
    w/appropriate Tiger upgrades

    Suggestions??
    regards
