No love for FCP from THIS guy
Posted by Shane Ross on June 1, 2016 at 12:53 amIn the first part of this AIKIDO instructional video, this guy let’s us all know how he feels about FCX. Not sure if he means FCP 7, or FCX…either way, no love lost for sure (NSFW).
Not sure anyone should try to convince him otherwise…not to his face anyway…

June 1, 2016 at 1:51 amIf this is the best he can do, no wonder he can’t figure out the simple task of compressing a video for Youtube. I only lasted through about 2 minutes of his blah blah blah. Boring.

June 1, 2016 at 4:48 amThere is only two min of blah blah blah. And yeah, he’s missing something simple. Also, he can just export full res and then compress it with something else. Video is not his forte…kicking ass is!

June 1, 2016 at 5:46 amMaybe he should try iMovie?
I don’t understand why people who just want to upload videos to YouTube think they need Final Cut Pro 7 or X. iMovie is quite a capable little program for cranking out simple videos for YouTube consumption.

I have seen so many people over the years struggling with Legend. In over their heads when they should be in iMovie.
They all seem to feel like it was almost in insult for them to use iMovie. Like they were above it, even though they didn’t know the most basic things about editing.
That’s it. That’s who they are factoring in when they design. That guy who is struggling to upload to Youtube from that automated setup.

I agree, and it’s crazy to me. Not like they’re above shooting in an iPhone and editing on an iMac, maybe even an iPad. I say this with no condescension, but to underscore that Apple makestrel one or two okay products with “i” in the name.
I mean, to paraphrase an old proverb, you could argue that there’s no”i” in Pro, but there’s no “u” in Pro either. LOL
