Hi Im trying to calibrate my dell 2709w HD monitor.

I have a Blackmagic Decklink extreme 3 with a intel mac and Dell 2709w Hd monitor.

I have read about look up tables and when I go to the preference dialogue box for the card in the select output processing section the look up table tab is grey.

    Can anyone explain this?

Also is this the best way to calibrate the monitor for use with HD work with after effects and final cut?

I have the colour bars provided with the card but I dont understand how to use them, I have seen several different types of colour bars but dont know which one to use.

My monitor has settings on its OS but im unsure how to use them with colour bars.

    Is there an explanation anywhere?

    Please help.

    Thanks

    N

The LUTs were never available on the HD Extreme 3. They were on the HD Extreme 2 but we removed the feature from the HD Extreme 3 in favor of the hardware scaler.

In short what you are seeing is normal.

    Sincerely,
