  No input signal on laptop

  I have a Dell M60 laptop, I can’t get it to capture from a PD-150 with the firewire cable. It works fine in windows so it would seem the connection is working fine but I can’t get an input signal into AVID. I have tried all the deck configuration settings but no luck. Am I missing something.
