  • No FCP reference file name….bug in FCP 5

Recently about 4 months now, I’ve been having problems in having FCP export my reference project files with the .mov extension for import into Compressor or Squeeze. When I do export the reference file it does not have the “.mov”, just filename”.” Thus make it impossible for me to bring it into Squeeze.

Is there a bug in FCP that just randomly happens…again, it has recently begun to happen. Can anyone offer advice on how to get it to reinstate the “.mov” at the end of the file name?

    FYI I’m using FCP 5.1.4
    regards

There should be a box that says include file extenuation when you are exporting. Make sure that it is checked.
