No dissolves in Ultimate S
After some Windows 7/64 updates, Ultimate S Pro 4.1.4 does no longer create dissolves in Quad-CAM, only cuts. (W7, Vegas 10). Strangely, when I open an older veg file, that file allows me to create dissolves in Quad-CAM.
I tried and checked all the obvious, to no avail. I have been using Vegas and Quad-CAM for years without any problems.Is this a known problem? Any suggestions how to solve it?

It sounds like it’s something unique to one project since older projects seem to work. There are no compatibility problems that I’m aware of. Make sure Automatic Crossfades (Ctrl+Shift+X) didn’t accidentally get disabled.
Otherwise I would contact VASST at the ultimatesupport email account and we’ll help you work through this.

‘Auto Crossfades’ was turned on. ‘Unique to one project’ put me back ‘on track’: aligning the files the timeline was set to ‘samples’. That must have created the misalignment for dissolves.

Yea, if your timeline ruler is in samples, you must specify the crossfade length in samples also. You always have to specify lengths in the duration of the timeline ruler.
