Just upgraded from CS3 to 5.5 and my new system is not seeing my GL2 for capture.

I have a Nvidia 9600 and the device Manager shows the IEEE 1394 Bus host controllers is working properly. It also has the current driver. I am connected to my PC via FWire to the back of the system. When the camera is on play, DV IN is blinking on the camera monitor. In PP, Capture>Settings>Device Control is DV/DVH device Control. In options, I have NTSC, CANON, Standard(GL2 is not offered)

Any advice to help me get the camera and PP to see each other would be greatly appreciated. What am I missing?

    Thanks,
    Pattie

You probably need to set the firewire driver to legacy.
Have a look at this techdoc.

    Thanks for your response Ann,

I was doing searches for anything to do with “capture” problems and this morning happened to do a search with “device offline” and a thread came up with that link. I do appreciate you posting it and I’m in the middle of it now.

    I greatly appreciate your help!

    Kind regards,

    Pattie
