    Hello,
    I have a new XDCAM HD sony pdw-f70 deck and I can’t get control of
    the deck. I’m using the HD SDI out and for control it has firewire, 9pin and RS232C. I’ve tried all three and none of them work. The only one that sees timecode is the firewire. The deck uses sony pfd23 23 gb discs.

    Any suggestions? or maybe its not supported yet. When I select non controllable device it captures for a bit but then drops frames.

    Since DVCAM HD is very new, I would say the deck is not supported. Support should come very soon. XDCAM HD is similar to the HDV codec.
