It hurst to see a handel broken off like that. At NAB I purchased a part crom Zacuto that is a suppot for this camera. They said they have seen many broken handels and that is the reason they made these.

At the show it cost me like $50 but I can see it may be able to help with camera drops like you had by reenforcing the handel.
