This is really just a little annoying. Just checking to see if anyone knows a way around this. When importing a folder that only has one file in it Premiere just disregards the folder and imports just the file. If there are 2 or more files in the folder it will create a new bin though. Is there a setting that can be changed to create a bin for folders with just one file?

I’ve been irritated by this for years. I’m replying in the hope that someone else has some clever trick.

The closest I came was in the new updated Import window there is an option for “new bin”. You still have to manually type the name, but it will then import directly into this bin. The time this saves is negligible though.
