    Hello world !

I came up on your forum after googling a lot on my issue. I decided to post my problem here. So here it is :
In Sony Vegas 9 I render my video using Blu-ray template; I choose “include audio” option but still there is no audio on the resulting video.
I have read a thread where the recommendation was to copy the “ac3plug” folder from DVD Architect’s “FileIO Plug-Ins” folder and use it to overwrite the one of Vegas in its folder of the same name. I did that, I restarted, but still no success .
    What could be wrong ?
Thank you in advance for your answers.

Which Blu-ray template? Sony AVC or MainConcept MPEG2? Why are you rendering for Blu-ray with audio? Why not use one of the non-Blu-ray templates that have audio?

Don’t believe everything you read. I would try and put things back the way they were or uninstall Vegas, clean up it’s folders and re-install Vegas. Never copy program files just because someone on the Internet claimed it did something. There is no telling what could be wrong now that you’ve mixed files from two different programs.

I’m using Blu-ray Sony AVC template. I noticed that MPEG2 Main Concept has a loss of quality (which is normal as it has lower bitrates). I’m editing full-hd material taken with my handycam (m2ts files) and I want to save back in the same m2ts format . I found that Sony AVC template is the most which is approaching to the same quality.
But the problem is that I have no audio (with selected “include audio” option) when I choose this template.

Then you don’t want to use the Blu-ray templates. You want to use the AVCHD template which is probably the format your camera shoots. These will have audio by default.

OK. Thanks for pointing me that.
Anyhow, in the near future i want to do blu-ray authoring of all mt2ts files I’ve got. Soon as I get a blu-ray writer. Maybe that’s why i was “attracted” on blu-ray template.
    Many thanks.

Yes, but when you render for Blu-ray you do not want the audio included. You want to render the audio separately as Dolby Digital AC3. That’s why the Blu-ray video templates don’t include audio.
