    hello and thank you !!!

    I’m trying to edit an mp4 file acquired from a sanyo vpc-e1 consumer camera.
    I let FCP to automatically set the sequence setting but I only have audio on the preview window and when I scrub the timeline.
    Other than that I get the render audio beep and the timeline is red for rendering…
    where can I look for a solution ? here maybe ?

    It is likely that your audio is ‘muxed’ into the video.

    My advice is to use MPEG Streamclip to convert this file. This will place the audio in a separate stream from the video. A good thing for FCP.

    hmmm….
    I thought I’ve found a solution but them files are not muxed 🙁
    what else can it be ?
    the audio format is AAC btw.
