I have a recurring problem. Sometimes I have clips that simply won’t capture audio. I’m using a firewire card and I always have it set to capture both audio and video. On my current project, I tried to batch capture about 4 clips. Three of them captured fine, one of them only gave me video. So it can’t be any kind of Setting. I’ve tried capturing the clip again with slightly different In/Out points, but no luck.

Anyone have any ideas what might be causing this?

    Thanks
    Karen

Pro’s default capture setting is both video and audio…click the little “more” button in the capture window.
Pro wont captue channels 3 and 4 from camcorders, ScenalyzerLive can (as a .wave file).
Other issue might involve a 12 bit Project setting and 16 bit audio on the tape.
