I’ve been noticing something weird since updating to 6.0.1 Premiere Pro CS6. Every once and a while, I get no sound. I have a Kona3, but even with the Kona card turned off, I still get this, so I don’t think its a Kona3 thing. I’ll get audio meters but no sound coming out. If I trash the Premiere Pro preferences it always fixes it, so I’m not too concerned, but it’s still annoying. If I go to the Sound preferences in the Mac Control Panel, I get system sound, such as beeps, etc. Anyone else experience this?

how do you have premiere configured in the sound device and output preferences?

It should not be set for Kona3.

The correct setting is: system default input/output

It can only be set one way, otherwise the audio device can get conflicted
    and have issues.

That’s how I have it set up. I don’t think it’s Kona related, since it does the same thing with the Kona Disabled.

I had the same problem when I was still on my Mac Pro.

Try this. Uninstall the 2 AJA drivers for the Kona 3.

When I did the, the audio problem went away and things worked as they should

I uninstalled and then reinstalled the Kona drivers and it seems to be working better. Thanks Tom. How is your Z820 working out for you?
