No audio playing After Effects 5.5
I’m using After Effects 5.5 on a Dell tower with Windows XP. I’m getting no sound from my video clips. Even the audio levels don’t register any movement when I try to scrub the audio. I have Adobe Premiere on the same computer and have no trouble with audio playing over it. Is a special audio card needed for After Effects? I’m working on getting an upgrade for After Effects, but this is what I have for now. Any thoughts?

when you scrub you need to hold some ctrl to get audio……or do a RAM preview…… does that work?
