no audio on DVD produced with Sony DVD archetect
I am producing a movie in 5.1 surround. When I send it to Sony DVD Archetect to produce a DVD, there is no sound at all on the DVD.
I am rendering video and audio seperately. What am I doing wrong? -

When you preview the DVD in DVDA before burning is there sound? If not is there a sound file noted in the media listing when you highlight the video to be played. Its possible you did not import sound with the video.
If you rendered as suggested that is use MainCncept DVDA compatible MPEG2 stream for the video and AC3 for the audio and render separately, you need to be sure that the two files have the same name and are in the same folder. If you do that, when you bring the video over, the sound file will automatically come with it. -
In addition to Terry’s suggestions, did you set DVD Architect’s project properties to AC-3 5.1 surround?

I have sound in preview, but when I burn the DVD there is no sound.
I am giving the two files the same name, and they import together. You can see the sound track in the time line. But it doesn’t burn. -
Yes, the project is set for 5.1 surround.

How are you checking/listening to the DVD?
If it’s on a DVD hooked to a TV, do commercial DVDs in 5.1 play back properly? -
I am playing the DVD in the computer which has 5.1.

Will a standard DVD (movie from blockbuster) play with sound in the computer?
