  • No audio input out of PPro on Decklink Extreme

I have just put my system together. I have instaled PPro 1.5.1, QT 7 and decklink 5.4 drivers.
All is working ok. I can batch capture Video&audio in PPro and Export to tape ( all frame accurate ), but in XP pro Control Panel/Sounds and Audio Devices under Sound recording/Default device there is No Audio Devices. There is also an issue with Nuendo 2, no audio input under VST inputs Decklink ASIO driver.
    What to do?

    My system:
    X6DAE, 2xXeon, 2GB ram, XP Pro Sp2, nvidia 6600 PCIE 16

    Igor

I get the same. I don’t think the Decklink driver doesn’t provides an audio only input. If you want to capture audio without video I think you need a separate card at this point.

Thanks Shane. Huh, I was afraid of that.
Luke, are BMD planing this for a future realeses of drivers?
Luke, can you sync audio internaly to genlock inside BMD drivers, so we can use ASIO audio input only on Decklink outside of a PPro?
I have spare Lynx One audio card, but I think that this will slowdown performance of DLExtreme because I have to put them on a shared bus in slot 1&2 ( if they work at all, slot 1 – DLE, slot 2 – LynxOne, slot 3 – Intel RAID src28x, slot 4 PCIE – empty, slot 5 PCI – 1394, slot 6 PCIE – VGA )

Luke is currently away on his honey moon.

Decklink cards require an black(null) video source to embed the audio channels into to capture accurately.

The ability to embed analog audio into a digital video stream is the role of the multibridge.
