Can anybody help i don’t know whats going on i have a JVC HD camcorder that i used to be able to download and edit in Premiere pro2 but now since i upgraded to cs3 the video imports ok but NO AUDIO.

any other type of MPEG (yes MPEG) works fine Video and Audio, just my JVC files, which is a form of MPEG2 only with a .MOD extention (why i don’t know) but what i usually do is rename to a .MPG and that does the trick (thats with PPRO2)

Please Don’t say Premiere does’nt support MPEGs beacause i Know i Does as iv’e been editing with MPEG for YEARS and had no problems, Besides as i said i did work in Premiere Pro2.

Your help willbe very much appreciated

    Thanks

I’m also unable to get at the audio in PPCS3 from mpegs created by my Sony SR100 HD camcorder.

I’ve got PP2 still running on my computer, and I was able to hear it in that and export it for the thing I need to do right now, but long-term that’s not viable.

Feels like a codec thing but I don’t know anything about them, and it seems odd that 3 wouldn’t be able to hear the audio whilst on the same machine 2 can.
