    I just installed Avid Express Pro 4.6.
    But when I play back a clip I am not getting any audio.
    The audio meters indicate that there is audio but nothing comes out of the speakers.
    I know there is audio and have played back the Quicktime outside of program.

    I am using the onboard audio device. My MB is an Asus P4C800-E Deluxe.
    I have updated my drivers and bios.

    Any ideas?

    Do you see little speaker icons next to the track selection buttons in the timeline? That selects the tracks that play through the speakers, and it is possible to turn off monitoring on all tracks.
