Nikon D5100/sound — how to solve the no live playback issue?
Hello all,
I’ll admit I’m new to this whole DSLR-as-videocamera thing. Yet, I find myself in the position to put together a (hopefully not too expensive) DSLR HD video package/kit.
I’m looking into the Nikon D5100, though I’ve heard it doesn’t support live audio playback. Because of this, I figure on purchasing A) a prosumer mixer or b) a standalone recording device — both not exceeding $200, hopefully. My question is — which is the best option, or is there another way?

For that price- I’d say Zoom Handy H1- great quality and cheap as dirt.
