I own a Nikon AF-S Nikkor 14-24mm 2.8G ED lens in excellent condition and thinking about selling it to Adorama. I think I’ll get a little over $1000 for it, but wondering if it’s worth it. I never use it in my video work, but I don’t want to regret it. The 14-24mm is impractical because it can’t use filters and it’s huge, it’s heavy. Would this lens appreciate in value over time? Ken Rockwell “suspects the 14-24mm may become a future classic that sells for $3,500 a pop used”? Anyone have experience shooting video on the NIkon D7000 or similar with this lens? Just not sure if I should sell or not. Thanks!

What are Ken’s past successes in predicting future market value of camera products?
