News Editor needs high speed Scrub
Hallo, I’m a Editor in a news Studio and we’re “Making the Change” to Final cut Pro in a couple of weeks, everything seems to be going well at the moment but what I am missing is the ability to listen to twenty minutes of Interview in “Mickey Mouse Mode” as we call it, to find the soundbite. Simply pressing the L-Key twice, th Audio Scrub goes too fast to really make any sense of the voice. Has anyone a Tip on how to listen to Interviews in fast forward??
Any help would be much appreciated,

L key is the only way to get high speed scrub. Depending on what they are saying, sometimes you can still make out what they are saying with the 2nd click of L and sometimes not.

I have the same problem except for with just one click on the L key it is automatically 5 times faster! Did you find a solution?
I’ve used final cut for 10 years and since the last version i’ve been getting this in some computers..WHY!?!!?!?!? -
Yes I did kind of find a workaround for this, when I load a clip in the viewer then switch to the audio tab, then click the L-Key twice then the audio is faster and kind of like “Mickey Mouse” understandable. For long interviews I don’t need to see the video so this kind of works for me.

Thanks that does work! THe problem is i’ve already done a pre-edit on the timeline so i would have to start it over again…
