  “…Panasonic DVCPROHD P2 camcorder. Bypassing the HDV bandwagon, the prototype is still under development, but Panasonic did say the handheld unit will handle DVCPRO, DVCPRO50, and DVCPROHD recording, and should be available later this year. The CCDs being developed for the camcorder will be native 16:9, and the camcorder will be able to record in 24p.
