  • Newbie Question: Manual Exposure Value on Canon 600D?

    Hi

I was wondering if it’s possible to change the exposure value on a canon 600d? By that I don’t mean changing the aperture/shutter speed/ISO but the value that you can change from -3 till +3. I know you can change it in the photography mode through the quick menu or by pressing the shutter button halfway, pressing the AV button and rotating the dial..

    Thanks!

Hey this answer is a little late, but better late than never right?

I think you’re talking about exposure compensation with the -3 to 3 adjustments. You can adjust this in the video mode the same way that you described (hold down AV button and rotate dial).

Trick is that you need to make sure the Movie Exposure is set to Auto (press the Menu button, it’s the first item).
