Newbie question garbage mattes
Hi, I apologize for the newbieness of this question, I have looked through the user manual, but can’t find what I’m looking for. I’m used to using Digital Fusion for effects and composits. I’m trying to move a graphic out from a matte to reveal the graphic, and I can’t figure it out. Evertime I make a matte, it moves with the graphic. Any suggestions?

Put your mask on the group containing the layer, then you can move the layer independent of the mask.
