Newbie Question
Hi, I realise this is a newbie question but I only started using Illustrator last week at college. I need to recreate a logo and I’m not sure which tools I should be using, I have attached the image below 🙂
Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated 🙂

for the logo icon, i would suggest using the Pen Tool in illustrator – if you are not familiar with the pen tool it is not the same as the brush, meaning you don’t draw with it. rather, you can TRACE an image by creating a path through a series of points. here is a great tutorial on the pen tool, little bit long at 27 minutes but it’s good to see the demonstration.

as far as the text in the logo, is there any way you can find out what font was used? if not, the pen tool could be useful here as well, albeit time consuming.
