I’m a real newbie at this – please bear with me. I just acquired PPro CS5, my first. Documentation is as yet non-existent (except unclear help files). I want to import a clip shot in 24 progressive sequential scan with interlacing and 3:2 pull-down added. No problem in After Effects, I just open interpret footage and tell it what to do. What is the equivalent for PPro? How do I get PPro to first de-interlace and then remove 3:2 to turn the clip into a genuine 23.976P clip? Thanks.

I was hoping someone would have an answer for this, so I gave it a few days.
    Any luck on your end?

I’ve never used CS5. It looks like there were issues in CS4 in removing pulldown from source from specific cams.? Maybe the issue still exists.
AE has been pretty reliable for this type of thing, but adds another step in the process, as you know.
I could be mistaken, but if you remove the pulldown do you actually need to do any deinterlacing?
