Just imported a test xml sent from FCP7. There are 3 shots in the sequence. I added a serial node to the first shot in order to select the sky in the shot to work on that.

Problem: When I click on the second or third shot in the timeline to work on them the serial node appears on them too. Am I missing a setting? It should be possible to grade each shot in the timeline separately without a node appearing in every shot in the timeline, am I right?

    Thanks
    Dave

    Hey Dave,

Is their a small red rectangle appearing at the top of each clip in your thumbnails ?

If so that means the clips are linked and you can click either :

Batch Unlink (unlinks all clips and reverts back to the default blank grade)

    or

Batch Copy (keeps the grade you have but will break the link)

    I hope this helps!

    Thanks,

    D

Dave, the idea there is those shots are off the same “source”. Davinci
is giving you the option of saving time, by putting the same corrections, on similar shots. Sometimes it can be great, sometimes, you have to unlink before you do anything…depends on your shots.

You could also right click and create new versions of each shot.
