Newbie needs to mix 24p letterbox with 4:3 NTSC
Newbie seeks help with two different formats:
DV 24P Letterbox shot on a Panasonic DVX 100
90 percent of my footage is in this format.DV regular no letterbox shot on a cheapo Sony
10 percent of my footage is in this formatStill images, not imported yet, jpegs, plan to run through After Effects for motion control zooms and pans.
End product 5 minute promo output to dvd in 16:9 format 24PShould I digitize all of the 24 p material using 24p settings and create a 24 p timeline and render out regular DV material for pulldown and letterbox effects?
If so can you please tell me how to convert the regular dv to 24P wide screen.
Also awhat settings to use with After Effects for the JPEGS.

The DVX-100 shoots letterboxed, not true 16×9, so all you need to do is add the other footage and letterbox it. And 24p is still edited at 29.97 fps, so mixing them shouldn’t be a problem. 24PA is 23.98, but regular old 24P is 29.97…so easliy mixable with your other footage.
