    Hi Ladies & Gentlemen,

I am a Newbie to AVID – coming from FCP.
I am about to edit material that was shot in AVCHD Files.
Recently I upgraded my system also to 10.8..so now it does not shot the folder anymore in a normal way, but the “private” folder shows as QT film, in which the MTS Files are hidden. When I try to import into AVID over Import AMA, I only get horrible weird error messages.
How can I get it in over AMA, and then make subclips from the imports and transcode those. A bit like the log&Transfer tool in the good old FCP.
Any idea why it’s not working?
    Thanx.

    Greetings,

Mountain Lion created some complexity by disguising the folder as a package…

    the workaround is detailed here

Thanx, will try that. Sometimes Apple is just…..well, I do not say anything, before I get punished by the COW team ;-)!
They are the masters in pulling their own leg.

I will try it right away!

Funny though, that my beloved FCP 7, handles this new packaging way like a piece of cake!

Actually, it does work, but then it says you have to license Dolby AC-3 and then that does not work.
    AVID is complicate!
I will just Transcode them in ClipWarp into AVID Files.
