New video card?
HI
I have had video editing software Sony Vegas platinum 9 for about 6 months now, and have had relativly few problems with it (It can be a bit choppy in the preview from time to time) However, lately it has become almost impossible to work with. Extremely choppy previews, freezing audio and green bands appearing across the bottom of my footage when loaded into Vegas which stays on the rendered videos, making it almost impossible to edit anything accuratly. My PC in general is running quite slow and I have done the usual things like defragging, disk cleaning etc but with no improvement(I have zero computer skills and followed a “How to” on youtube) Do you think I need a upgraded real time graphics card like Matrox to have Vegas work correctly? I work in HD with a Canon HV30 which is a mni DV cam.PC is a Fujitsu-Siemens Scaleo P with a Core 2 Duo E6400 chip and with 2GB of memory and a nVidia GeForce 7500LE graphics card, which is described as “Puny” In one review. Running Windows XP home edition (Service pack 3)
Would I benifit from an upgrade to better hardware as I just want to edit videos without all the headaches?
Kind Rgards
