    New Vegas Pro 11 user(build 594!) + Canon 5D H.264 videos

    I’m completely new to Sony Vegas Pro. I have version 11(build 594) and want to know if there is a simple guide to getting the best quality out of video. I want render several travel videos and post on Youtube/Vimeo at the highest quality. I’ve heard about this Cineform, but i’m not sure if it’s worth jumping through the intermediate conversions.

    Everything i’ve found on youtube points to either 720 or 1080 wma output. others 1080 Blue ray.

    John’s post towards the bottom is helpful, but it was made about Vegas 9 back in June 30th, 2009. I’m not sure it’s still relevant any more for Vegas 11.

    Can anyone point me to the right direction using Cineform with H264 videos? Furthermore, What is the best output after converting to Cineform for Vegas Pro?

    There is no need at all for Cineform for Canon 5D footage, Vegas will edit it natively. Output as 1280x720p using Sony AVC to upload to Vimeo.

    Thanks Jim.. I was beginning to think there was a whole other world of high end video that I could get Into. I realized last night Vegas 11 fixes quite a few conversions when moving H264 videos into vegas.
