I am new to After Effects. Using CS3 for the first time, before this I had been using Sony Vegas 5 and 7. In After Effects, after I add video to a project along with effects, the changes do not carry over when I export to a new video file.
Is there some step I am missing? I have also saved the projects, but still get the same result.

are you using the render queue to output your files? you should always use it…don’t use File->Export. If you have the composition selected that you want to render go to the menu “Composition->Add to Render Queue”. then adjust the settings to suit.

Thanks! It took me a little bit, things have a different flow in this program.
