New update
Notice of a new update for the CC apps just came across the wires from Adobe. It includes: Audition, Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop. The only description is “Dynamic Link Media Server 7.0.1 Update: This update provides bug fixes.”
I’ll wait for more info. -

Dynamic Link Media Server, as I understand it, its own little headless in the background utility that manages dynamic link functions of which there is more than just the Premiere Pro – After Effects link. It also manages connecting to other Adobe programs to read saved files like how AME will initiate dynamic link if you drag a Premiere Pro project onto it.
Since each version has a copy of Dynamic Link Media Server, they have to put an update notice on each.
