December 18, 2011 at 12:57 amHey Mike…
I assume SCS no longer tags their updates with a letter suffix. Is there a reason for this or do I detect an element of red faces in the Sony camp? -

December 18, 2011 at 1:54 amNew Blue titler still has crash issues from the preet window. The work around still works, but I still get a random crash now and then.

December 18, 2011 at 1:56 amI updated V11. It still crashes when NewBlueFx is added to the time line.
Still no answer from NewBlueFx support. Still not fixed in the latest Vegas build.
🙁

December 18, 2011 at 2:46 amI remember the days when Newblue plugins were so simple, fast,
had conflicts with nothing, hardly used any resources, yet was
very feature rich by having good wholesome, practical and
effective filters.Steve Rhoden

December 18, 2011 at 9:23 amHello,
following the recent thread “How edit 1920×1080-50p footage and then upload it back to Sony camcorder” on this forum, could anybody advise me, if the new feature “Updated Sony AVC format render template customization to support AVCHD 2.0.” produces a video file compatible with Sony cameras’ internal player, i.e. it can be exported and played back directly in the camera? (Of course, I’m talking about a Sony camera that can shoot and play 1920×1080-50/60p footage, e.g. Sony hdr cx700, and I want to preserve this video quality). Also, is this feature available within Vegas Movie Studio Platinum, V. 11, Build 283 that has been released very recently (it also brings the Sony Tablet 1080p etc.) and what template shall I use and what parameters should be changed to achieve the compatibility.
Thanks.

“If you are printing a rendered file to HDV tape, the file must precisely conform to the target HDV device and file type requirements, or the print-to-tape operation will fail. Rendering using the provided HDV MPEG-2 render templates—unmodified in any way—is required to successfully print to HDV tape.”
Is that related to your problem Geoff?

December 18, 2011 at 6:54 pm@Firdaus Aziz,
As far as I can tell I’ve complied with the requirements. I’ve Printed to tape thro VP7 To VP10 without problem.
The template is mainconcept (mpeg2) and either HDV1080-50i or
HDV1080-60i depending whether one is working in PAL or NTSCHowever; surely a VP10 project that Prints OK and is saved as a .veg file and then opened in VP11. This project now viewed in VP11 should be an exact replica of a project that functioned in VP10.
This was how I first found that VP11 would not ‘print to HDV tape.I live in PAL land but have borrowed a NTSC camcorder in case the problem was perculiar to PAL only

December 18, 2011 at 11:21 pmI would like to think that the bug with the solo of the buses in the mixer section has been fixed…but I’m not gonna hold my breath. Too many bugs with the video portion of Vegas has to be fixed first I suppose.
I DO hope Sony fixes this though. I’d rather not have to go back to Ver. 8.0c to do audio (which worked perfectly). Although I have to use the 32 bit version of 11 since my 3rd party plugins are 32 bit and will not work in the 64 bit version.
By the way…can someone point me in the right direction as to where to post a description of a bug in ver 11 to SCS ? I sent a message to customer support but I’m not sure that is the correct place to let them know about this bug.
I suspect that this bug will be put on the back burner for a fix since it is an audio bug instead of a video bug. Anyone who does pro audio as much as I do with Vegas, and needs to be able to solo buses…would, like me, love to see this fixed. 🙂
