New to Premiere Pro CS6.
Posted by Jason Sacharoff on September 1, 2012 at 9:04 pmI just made the switch from FCP to PP. I’m editing R3D Raw footage and syncing the external audio. for some reason, the sound guy recorded only in the left channel. How can I make one audio channel the left channel and the other audio channel a duplicate only panned right? Does that make sense? It was so much easier in FCP.

In many ways Premiere Pro is easier than FCP once you figure out how it works. In other ways you want to just want to strangle your computer.
Cannot recommend “An Editor’s Guide to Adobe Premiere Pro” by Richard Harrington, Robbie Carmen and Jeff Greenberg. It’s a godsend for any editor moving to that app from another one. I was on FCP for 11 years and this book was a huge help getting us up to speed quickly at our shop.

I think Walter might have meant to day ” I cannot recommend ENOUGH…”
A sentiment I concur with. The book really accelerates understanding the unique differences in workflow and use between FCP and Premiere Pro.
